Join us for a webinar on Thursday 3 September, 2020 at 11:00 AM – 12:00  noon PDT, presented by Microsoft Data Platform MVP,  Marco Russo from sqlbi.  Marco will walk through how to create your first calculation group in Power BI Desktop and will describe best practices, limitations, as well as answer some of your questions during the Teams Live webinar.

Calculation groups can apply specific calculations on top of existing DAX measures. For example, calculation groups can implement time intelligence calculations like year-to-date, year-over-year, and currency conversion on any measure without having to write many different variations of the base measures. Another common use of calculation groups is to enable the selection of a measure in an existing report through a slicer.

Marco Russo is a business intelligence consultant, mentor and author of several books about Power BI, Analysis Services and Power Pivot.  
As a Microsoft Data Platform MVP and SSAS Maestro, Marco has achieved the highest level of certification on Microsoft Analysis Services. 
Today, Marco focuses his time with SQLBI customers, traveling extensively to train and consult on DAX and data modeling for Power BI and Analysis Services. Marco also teaches public classes worldwide and is a regular speaker at international conferences such as Microsoft Ignite, PASS Summit, and Sqlbits. Marco is a founder of sqlbi.
